Alberto Vázquez
Animation director, illustrator and cartoonist of comics. His books have been published in countries such as Spain, France, Italy, Brazil, Turkey, China or Korea, and his illustrations have appeared in print media around the world.
He has written and directed animated shorts such as Birdboy, Sangre de Unicornio, Decorado and Homeless Home, and the feature film Psiconautas, los Niños Olivos, based on his graphic novel of the same name.
His works have won three Goya Awards, winning the Goya for Best Animated Short Film in 2012 for Birdboy, and in 2017 with the Awards for Best Feature Film and Best Animated Short Film for Psiconautas, los Niños Olivos and Decorado, respectively.
He has obtained more than 100 international awards and his works have been exhibited at prestigious festivals around the world such as Cannes, EFA Awards, Toronto, Annecy, Clermont-Ferrand, Animafest Zagreb, César Awards or Slamdance.
