Synopsis
Even if the wounds of the past are closed and you forgive all those who have hurt you, the pain always remains in your heart. An intimate portrait of María José Arroyo’s life, tracing the scars of her past and discovering the medicine of her soul.
Festivals and awards

Rafa Arroyo
Director, cinematographer and photographer. He used to work as a telecommunications engineer until he decided to change it for his passion and his dream, which is to work in the world of cinema. He studied Professional Photography at EFTI, and later he decided to pursue a Diploma in Cinematography Direction at the Instituto del Cine de Madrid. He began developing his own projects, including As I Lay Dying, 2018 and The Oferring, 2019 which were published on platforms such as Directors Notes and Booooooom TV, and the short film LOST (2018) which was selected in several international and national festivals such as the Elche Independent Film Festival, FECICAM’19 or the Utah Film Festival Awards among others. Apart from making fiction, he has worked in commercials with different clients such as Acciona, Correos, ACB, Carrefour, Cash Converter, Netflix, and Multiopticas among others. He has recently made the short film Vera, 2021 which has been part of the catalog Just Spainted: New Spanish Shorts 2021 prepared by the ICAA and has been present in the edition of the Short Film Market of the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival 2021. Now he presents his new documentary short film Soul Lines, 2021.
